Fine Motor Skills and a Color Wheel

Each morning we are very busy working in our classroom.  That is right, we are busy with our job of being a kid! We are learning so many skills and making so many connections.  If we were to give an award for "Outstanding Job Performance", our children would win daily in so many ways.  Here is a small sampling.
We set out spoons and colorful pom poms.  The motion of the spoon is great wrist and skill building for handwriting. But our children did not stop there.  They moved all the pom poms with the spoons, then they sorted the colors, then the sizes.  Finally, we began to sort them in such a way that Dovy and Sholom noticed it could be a color wheel! "Just like we have on our wall".  This level of attention to detail is commendable.
