More Parsha in KDH

Parshat Kedoshim

Becker was excited that he could ask him mom to come in again and help him teach Parsha a second time. Becker told the class that we are supposed to be kadosh/holy. What does that mean? Very special. Becker and Pam prepared a bingo like sheet filled with pictures that represented the mitzvot in the Parsha. He told the class the mitzvah and they had to find the picture and check it off.

These are some of the mitzvot: Respecting the elderly, keeping Shabbos, letting go of bad feelings - not bearing a grudge and giving tzedakah.
Thank you Becker and Pam. Becker, thanks for convincing your mom to come in again!

Parshat Emor

Levi also convinced his mother that teaching Parsha a second time would be fantastic! It definitely was for our class. Levi and his mother drew boxes on a poster board, Each box represented a different yom tov/holiday that is spoken about in the Parsha. There were pictures that were put on each box with sympbols of the holiday. They presented outside, so that we could enjoy the beautiful day.

It was a fantastic review of all the holidays and helped us prepare for Shavuot.

Then Levi introduced a  sefirat haomer counting activity. Marbles were put out to count from Pesach to Shavuot. The jumped the length of the 49 marbles which lead them to receiving the Torah on Shavuot.

Thank you Levi and Mussy.  What a great way to use our whole bodies to learn.
