Goodbye Kitah Daled/Hey 2016

KDH children and teachers plan the graduation performance together. We ask the children, "What did you do this year that you would like to include?" They talked about bridges, cooking and baking, field trips, Shabbat parties, gardening, recyclables, science and more....We were excited about how passionate the children were and used their input in writing the script.
Taking it a step further, we held an Exit Interview with each child. What did the children tell us?
The block center and art center were favorites. Painting and using recyclables were enjoyed by the children. We observed the children collaborating together in all the centers. It was a joy to watch what they built and created all year long.
Chanukah is a favorite holiday. The children like sufganiot, chanukah gelt, dreidel playing and presents. Other children like Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, Rosh Hashana, Purim and Pesach.
All kinds of books are enjoyed. Alphabet Mystery, Bernstein Bears, Olivia, books about cars and animals, baseball books are what we like to read. The books we wrote about our field trips are also favorites. It's one of the teachers' favorites too.
Bike riding, going on the swings and playing in the sandbox are the outdoor preferences.
KDH cooked or baked almost every week. So what did the children really like? Potato Kugel, slushies, Har Sinai cake, brownies, challah with sprinkles, muffins and lemonade are what the children thought were yummy!
Mad Science with Rabbi Sollish, field trips were mentioned as what was special in KDH. Making new friends is what one student loved!! How fantastic!
What are the future plans of our children? Some of them want to travel to Florida, New York and Israel. Interests include learning how to sew and learning to play the trumpet.  Career goals include being a wrestler, construction worker, doctors, scientists, computer people, and lego architect. Girls expect to be mommies.

Children, we loved learning and playing with you! Please come back and visit IJP.
