Baby Moshe in the River Nile ~ Kitah Alef

This morning we had babies in baskets. Morah Myriam: "Let's put baby Moshe in the basket." Zoey: "No he's sick!" Morah Myriam: "Oh no! What should we do?" Zoey covers the baby with a blanket and carries him around. Zoey: "You happy now? Wanna go bye?"
We created a River Nile with a blue drop cloth and tissue paper. The children had an assortment of baskets to play with and several baby dolls.
Avraham Chaim covers the baby doll in the basket with a soft blanket. Pointing to the baby in the basket he says:"Baby Moses!"
Sylvia and Zoey carry the babies around in smaller baskets covering them and caring for them.

Avraham Chaim picks up one of the baskets and carries it over to our "River Nile."

The children are busy arranging the baskets and moving the babies around.

Finally Avraham Chaim decides to get in the basket himself. Morah: "Look its baby Moshe!"
Rafi takes a blanket and covers him.
Then Eli has a turn getting into the round basket. Avraham Chaim takes a blanket and covers him up.

Morah: "Are you taking care of baby Moshe?" Avraham Chaim:"Yes!" Avraham Chaim continues covering and uncovering Eli as he tries to get comfortable in the little basket.
We find a bigger basket for Eli and put pillows inside. Morah Myriam: "Look its Baby Moshe! Let's take care of Baby Moshe...Let's cover him so he won't be cold!"
