Spring Fun
KDH has been enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Digging for worms and making them a home kept us very busy. We found inch worms, centipedes and earth worms. The children created the worm habitat with soil, leaves and gave them water to keep them hydrated. They set up a barrier of tires and water bottles so that everyone would know where the worm home was and keep them safe. One afternoon it was very very hot. The children took the worms and put them back into the ground so that the sun would not dry them out. The earth worms were taken to our planting beds to help fertilize them but the inch worms were kept far away. Inch worms are fun to watch but we don't want them eating our vegetables!
