Coming back to school is always exciting after a long break. KDH was eager to know where friends traveled and what else they did over Pesach. Dovid told us he went to visit his cousins Ari and Nechama in Pittsburgh. Mina traveled to Michigan to her Bubby and Zeidy. Ilan went to Washington D.C. Jayme went to the beach. Lily went to her Nana and Pop-Pop's in New Jersey. Chana visited her Bubby and Zeidy in Peachtree City. Lewis went to his Aunt Lois's house and Elijah went to Orlando. Many of the children stayed home, with family and friends coming to them.
Pesach brings a lot of different foods and KDH children were eager to share what they ate:
Lily - "I ate three kinds of square matzah: 1) regular 2) matzah covered with cream cheese and 3) chocolate covered matzah. Chocolate was my favorite."
Ilan - "I drank the cups of wine."
Jules - "I ate charoset and parsley dipped in salt water."
Freeda - "I ate my egg and parsley in salt water and drank all four cups of wine."
Jayme - "I ate matzah, it was dry and crumbly."
Tirza - "I dipped parsely in salt water."
Amitai - "I ate the Afikomen for dessert."
Mina - "I dipped celery and an onion in salt water."
Lewis - "I ate a real chocolate seder plate."
Dovid - "I ate chocolate and cereal that was not chometz."
Elijah - "I ate maror and liked it."
Micah showed his Haggadah to his mom. Elijah shared his seder plate with his family. Reyn told us about the exciting prizes his Grandpa gave to the kids who found the Afikomen. Jules had cousins who came to his house who sang all the songs. Amitai sang the "Mah Nishtana" for his Daddy and some college students. Rikki opened the door for Eliyahu HaNavi. Chana helped her Bubby juice an entire bucket for oranges. Tirza had the seder at her house with her friend and her mom's friend.
We are happy to hear everyone had a great Pesach!
Morah Sara
