KDH is proud to announce the publication of their book,
"Snowy Day on the Police."
When the children returned from winter break they found roads and parking spaces taped on the riser that they build and play on, and "snow" in the block area.
On Tuesday morning, I looked at the riser and the children were leaning over a pile of snow. But wait, what was peaking out from under it?The children told me that there were police cars and plows covered in snow. I asked the children, "Would you like to write a story about this?" "Absolutely!" was their response.
The children dictated and illustrated the story. Today the class chose a title and read the book again. Theo suggested that we send the book home for everyone to share with their families.
It might take some time for everyone to have their turn to take home the book but we know it will be worth the wait.
