Hot Chocolate!

KDH children made many suggestions for "celebrating" winter in our classroom.
1. Make snowflakes and hang them up.
2. Bake snowmen cookies.
3. Make edible snowflakes.
4. Freeze water and make ice.
5. Make snow.
We loved these ideas and agreed to pursue each of them as we explore the winter season.
We then changed the discussion a bit. "What should we do to keep warm?" Alex and Sholom suggested that we make hot chocolate. We all loved that idea! On Monday afternoon, Morah Chana Liba went shopping for all the ingredients. When we arrived at school on Tuesday, we were prepared to beat the cold! We took out our rotary hand mixer and whipped up the whip cream. Each child mixed the hot cocoa in their cup with a straw. We topped it with the whip cream. Yum!

Nadav and Max liked it so much. They asked to do it again today!
