Israel Birthday Party and Clothesline

For Israel's Birthday we made cupcakes! Every friend got a turn adding an ingredient to our mixture.
Kitah Alef was so excited to make special cupcakes for Israel's Birthday. We listened to Israeli music while making the mixture.

When everything was all mixed up we poured the batter into the cupcake molds and put them in the oven. When the cupcakes were done we added a special decoration with blue food coloring. Morah: "That's a Magen David." Kitah Alef: "Magen David!"
The Magen David melted a little in the process, but it was still very delicious.
This week we had a clothesline running diagonally through the classroom. The children were able to take clothespins and put them on the line or hang objects from it. This was a great way to develop fine motor and pre-writing skills. Kitah Alef really enjoyed having the clothesline low enough so they could reach it and use it in many different ways. We hung a sheer material on it and it became a little tent at some point.
