Fire Safety at IJP

The local firemen came to visit our school  to discuss and demonstrate fire safety.We were divided into 2 groups one saw a puppet show with puppets that sang safety songs like *stop drop and roll*don't play with matches*crawl if there is smoke *smoke detectors and more.Then the firewoman reviewed the songs messages with the children by asking  the children different questions .

The other group sat outside with the Firemen and their truck.  We saw a fireman getting dressed up in his firefighter uniform. He looked kind of frightening to some of us, but he told us not to be afraid. Then they showed us different equipment they have on the truck. They also explained to us about the fire-engine and carefully with a big smile we climbed up on it and got to see it from inside.  We really had fun!
