KG Experiencing Adaptation

Now that it is still winter we have been learning about the three ways animals get accustomed to it. We learned how some hibernate, other migrate and  rest adapt to the cold temperature. When the animals adapt they either turn white or grow extra blubber. We had our own blubber glove made from Crisco shortening in a bag. The yeladim got to feel the ice in a bowl with out the blubber and then with the blubber glove on. They experienced how indeed blubber works to keep you warm.
