In Kitah Alef we take things slowly, we enjoy the process and however much time we need for it. We learn at our own pace. The whole school is preparing for the Thanksgiving Feast, and we thought perhaps this was our chance to begin baking in school as a class. Many of us help at home with this fun activity, but as a group it is a whole new adventure. There is measuring, pouring and of course taking turns! Today we baked Chanukah sugar cookies, oh what fun. As a small group everyone got their chance. It also helped us expand our vocabulary by naming the ingredients as we measured and poured, "salt", "oil", "sugar", and "flour". Ruth said, "I wanna do it" and Shaya said, "it's my turn'. So delightful! -Morah Elle and Morah Mushky
