Extended Day- Sidewalk Chalk Fun

Extended Day gives the children the opportunity to do all sorts of fun and interactive activities that truly extend their learning of the morning time. Many of the children picked up the chalk and were "scritch scratching" all over the pavement. They were actually writing their names or pre- writing their names. None of the lines and swirls are for naught. Ultimately these writings turned into numbers too when Morah Mushky drew a whole hopscotch game on the ground. Now we learned a new game that includes taking turns, counting, hopping and of course balancing on one foot. All in a (great extended-days) work!
