Fall Leaf Fun

Kitah Daled Hey came back from Succot break invigorated and ready for action. We took down the Chodesh Tishrei pictures from our bulletin boards, items from our centers and then made our way to the back room to disassemble our Succah. We sorted the blocks into large, medium and small blocks and then piled them into the storage unit.

The leaves from the Sechach were all over the floor. The children gathered them into a pile and then took a ruler to measure the length of the pile. How high could the leaves be piled? We first measured it at one inch. We made the pile higher and measured again. It had grown to two inches.

We all agreed this was so much fun. We must do it outside with large piles of leaves.
How will we measure our leaf piles outside? Any suggestions?
